Description

A response and correction to an article called "The Early Life of George Eliot" by Mr. Edgar L. Wakeman and published in "Weekly Supplement. In it George Eliot's brother is descibed as a "miser." However, the man's son and many people from the town in which Mr. Isaac Evans had lived for all of his life had declared this statement to be untrue and gave accounts of his generosity.
