Rabbinische Schule (Real),The synagogue of the orthodox Jews in Frankfort where Daniel Deronda attends a service and is seen by his grandfather's old friend, Joseph Kalonymos. The Synagogue Beth Tefillah Jeschurun, in the Schutzenstrasse, built by the Israelitische Religionsgesellschaft in 1853, was, at the time of Daniel Deronda (1866), the only large synagogue of the orthodox Jews in Frankfort.
