Coburg, The

Coburg, The,London theatre where Mirah's father Lapidoth had worked. This may be a reference to the real Coburg Theatre, Waterloo Bridge Road, Lambeth (opened 1818), although before the period of Daniel Deronda its name had been changed, in 1833, to the Victoria Theatre.
