Palermo (Real),Scene of the poem "How Lisa loved the King." —Palermo, the capital and largest city of Sicily, on the north coast of the island. At the time of Lisa Sicily was ruled by King Pedro III, of Aragon, and his queen, Constance (daughter of Manfred of Beneventum), through whom Pedro had acquired his Sicilian rights.
