Bedmar

Bedmar,Town in Spain, the principal scene of the Spanish Gypsy. There is a small town of Bedmar in the province of Jaen, in Andalusia, Spain, which has a ruined fortress, dating from Moorish times, with the remains of a secret passage somewhat like the one described in the poem.
