Athens (Real)

Athens (Real),Greek city which Baldasserre Calvo and Tito Melema visited to study Greek inscriptions. At the time of Romola Athens was in the possession of the Turks, who had captured it in 1458. For a long time after its capture it almost disappeared from the knowledge of the western world.
