Bonsi, Domenico (Hist.)

A learned doctor of law; one of the four syndics or commissioners charged with the effecting of the treaty between Charles VIII of France and the people of Florence. Domenico Bonsi (1430-1501) was a Florentine diplomat of distinction and a partisan of Savonarola.
