Crisolora (The Younger) (Hist.)

A Greek scholar, under whom Bardo de' Bardi had once studied. This was John Crisolora (died about 1427), who accompanied his uncle to Italy and became a professor of Greek. His uncle Manuel Crisolora (ca. 1350-1415), who came from Constantinople, and taught Greek in Florence and other Italian cities, is also mentioned by Bardo in Chapter vi of Romola.
