Ficino, Marsilio (Hist.)

A scholar, one of the men of mark in Florence who reverenced Savonarola. Marsilio Ficino (1433-99) an Italian philosopher and writer on Plato, chosen by Cosimo de' Medici to preside over the Platonic Academy.
