San Severino, Count di (Hist.)

The "Milanese Count"; agent of the Duke of Milan, for whom he purchases Bardo de' Bardi's library from Tito Melema. Giovan Francesco da San Severino, conte di Caiazzo (d. 1502), an officer in the army of Lodovico Sforza, duke of Milan. He and his brother Galeazzo were with Charles VIII in Florence.
