Valori, Francesco (Hist.)

The "hot-tempered chieftain of the Piagnoni", a devoted adherent of Savonarola and abitter enemy of Romola's godfather, Bernardo del Nero, upon whose execution he insists. Francesco Valori (1439- 98), who was killed in the midst of the mob after the capture of Savonarola.
