Description

A gentleman at whose house Mr. Brooke had once dined with Sir Humphrey Davy and Wordsworth. Edmund Cartwright (1743-1823), the inventor of the power-loom. His interest in agriculture led him into a correspondence with Sir Humphrey Davy. He was also the author of some published poems.
