Transforming Middlemarch: Project Assets
"Transforming Middlemarch: A Genetic Edition of Andrew Davies' 1994 BBC Adaptation of George Eliot's Novel," is an AHRC-funded digital humanities project created by De Montfort University's Justin Smith, Gabriel Eagan, Lucy Hobbs, and other team members, including Beverley Rilett.
In 2023, the project was launched at DeMontfort University, Leicester, UK and the adapted for the Omeka-based George Eliot Archive by the Auburn University team of Beverley Rilett, Dheeraj Bhaskaruni, Vennela Akula, and Nayanika Rajoli, with minor adjustments by Libo Sun and Yue Cui in early 2025.
All project assets linked in the shooting script and post-production script, such as images, documents, metadata, and video clips, are also available below for independent scholarship.
