Description
The tomb of George Eliot’s parents and their twin sons are located in the churchyard of Chilvers Coton Church. Her brother Isaac Evans is also buried there. Chilvers Coton Church is the inspiration for Shepperton Church in “The Sad Fortunes of the Reverend Amos Barton,” published in 1857.
