Dear Aunt Polly
Your letter was a welcome surprize. I am sure you would marry no one who is not worthy of you and one so thoughtful for others as you are is worthy of the best. Could you only have all the happiness I wish you! It is a great comfort to know that you are no longer leading a lonely life, but have someone who will love and care for you.
Will you give a kindly greeting to my new Uncle from me, and when you have a few spare minutes I should like to know a little more about him, and where you intend to live.
Thank you for thinking of me at such a busy time. I shall be only too pleased to stay here and I feel sure Uncle Isaac will be glad for me to have another six months rest. The £25 in August -- and the other £25 later on will be all that is necessary so far as I can calculate.
And for the rest of your letter 550 there is so much for which I ought to thank you -- the words I use sound so cold but I think dear Aunt Polly you will understand what I would wish to say.
