My dear Mrs. Lewes,
I think I shall be going out of town tomorrow and shall not I think return till Monday but any proof sent to me to 10 Lancaster Gate would be forwarded and I would return it.
I do not feel quite sure as to the years in which the famous conveyancers were practising. Batten will not be right I think. It will be best to avoid names I believe if you use the [opinion] and say it was given by the Attorney General and the leading conveyancer of the day. 461 To give names would look a little too like actual professional intervention would it not?
I could not say when I saw you but I may say now how deeply the conception of your drama impresses me -- more and more as it grows before me. I feel sure that all rational persons will see it to be quite the greatest of all possessions which we owe to you.
