A Family party in the evening -- Grandmamma, the Miss Gillies, Gertrude, Lizzie, 299 Miss Marshall, and Bertie, who is with us for his Christmas holiday.
I read the third act of my drama to George, who praised it highly. Dr. Stummer paid us a long call; then G. and I went to call on Grandma; Miss Parkes and Miss Craig called between 4 and 5, and after that we spent a perfectly quiet evening, intending to have our Christmas day's jollity on Tuesday when the boys are at home. This week G. has determined against accepting the editorship of the new Journal or Review.
