My dear Mr. Trollope
All goodness in the world bless you! First, for being what you are. Next for the regard I think you bear towards that (to me) best of men, my dear husband. And after those two chief things, for the goodness and sympathy you have long shown both in word and act towards me in particular. That is the answer I at once made inwardly on reading your letter so I write it down without addition.
The Little Man hopes to speak to you on that tender subject, the cigars, on Wednesday, perhaps, at one? 511
