Dear Friend
I am very wretched today on many accounts and am only able to write you two or three lines. I have heard this morning that Mr. Clark 248 is dangerously ill. Poor Chrissey and her children. Thank you for your kind letter.
I am ever your affectionate
Marian Evans.
