Dear Friend
I think your offer about the ribbons would have been very acceptable if it had come a little earlier -- but now the luggage is all gone to
Glasgow whence the vessel starts and Miss S. Tilley herself goes tonight. I forget whether I told you that she accompanies Mr. Syme 303 and his family.
The Times 304 speaks of the American Copyright as a fait accompli -- so I suppose there is no doubt that the Senate will ratify the treaty.
Tell Sara I would rather not disclose the authorship of the articles until they have been read. I consider -- no -- I will not say which I think the poorest.
I am right glad to hear that you are flourishing under extra work. Why did you send last week's Herald to Herbert Spencer? We could neither of us make out. I am better than I was -- the Spring moving in my veins a little, I suppose.
