Dear Friend
I'm very glad you can put off your visit, for I want to enjoy it thoroughly. In a fortnight or so, we shall be more at liberty. But you must not just come and look at us and then run away again. The Park will be so lovely, and we will go on the water. My teeth are all right now, and Mr. Lewes got back quite comfortably, considering the toilsome journey he had had -- eight days of railway and steampacket close together for he only staid two days at Hofwyl. He is delighted with Mr. and Mrs. M'fcller 743 and with Hofwyl in general -- everything seems so simple and hearty and healthful.
If you happen to see Chrissey, don't tell her you expect to see me soon. I will tell you why when you come.
