Can you come to me next Monday, and stay as long as you feel inclined to immure yourself with such an anchoret as I? I shall be able to take you home whenever you wish, as the carriage will be at my disposal next week. 13 Pray send me an affirmative reply, if possible, that I may be at home, and quite ready to enjoy your society.
I beg to be very kindly remembered to Dr. and Mrs. Kittermaster.
I will tell you how I have liked your little book, which I have read many times and gazed at the pictures of its cherub-like hero until I have forgotten that they are only pictures. Thank you very truly for remembering me and my tastes. Continue to do so, and to believe, my dear Miss Kittermaster, that I am
