My dear Sir
Permit me to take up a moment of your much-occupied time by thanking you for the gift of your "Lectures on Casuistry," 810 which I have just read through with benefit. I trust that your health is undisturbed enough to prevent the additional labour brought by your professorship from being ever felt as a too heavy burthen.
Believe me, my dear Sir
Yours with high regard
M. E. Lewes.
The Rev. F. D. Maurice.
