My dear Sir
Having gathered from a note of Mr. Leighton's accompanying one of his drawings, that the last proofs sent to me have not yet been forwarded to him, I have given him my copy. Will you be kind enough to order that another copy may be sent to me?
I have the best news from Mr. Lewes every day. He accuses you of being a "gourmet" because I told him you had pronounced the Spa commons to be miserable. He is getting quite strong -- walks like a postman and eats like a German.
