Dear Sir
I am very happy to contribute towards the Memorial Tablet which you have informed me of.
I have a very pleasant and grateful remembrance of Mr. William McEwan, 534 who taught me when I was a little girl, and who was a welcome guest in my Father's house. I think it is honourable to Hinckley that the townspeople should wish to keep the memory of the brothers alive among them. I remain,
Yours sincerely,
M. E. Lewes.
Hugh Atkins, Esq.
