My dear Miss Sibree 14
I thought of your adding to Miss Hennell's and my happiness by joining us this evening, but I find that other people are coming and that you may consequently be less likely to feel the visit an agreeable one. Will you save me the pleasure of having you until another evening when I shall be under less apprehension of your being "bored" -- a condition of which I have so supreme a horror myself that I am always alarmed lest my visitors should incur it.
