MS: Mr. Philip Leigh-Smith. Hitherto unpublished.
Holly Lodge | Sunday.
Dear Barbara
I shall go to sit to Lawrence for the third time on Wednesday, about 'bd past 2. Should you like to come and meet me -- and judge of the painter? 609 He has one or two portraits in his atelier, which might serve as a ground of judgment: mine, of course, is not in a stage to be looked at just yet.
Have you not missed an umbrella which you left with me, taking my small sun shade instead? I will take your umbrella to Lawrence's for the chance of returning it to you. His atelier is at 6 Wells Street, Oxford St.
Kindest double remembrances to Dr. Bodichon.
Ever yours
Marian.
