Dear Friends
My cough seems to get worse instead of better and I am as miserable as my best friend or worst enemy could desire to see me. The pain in my throat makes me quite hysterical this afternoon. I am not well enough to go visiting yet for I really want nursing. Mr. and Mrs. Chapman are gone to Brighton with Ernest this morning.
Ever your affectionate
Marian.
