I understand it all. 207 . . . There is but one refuge -- the having much to do. You have the mother's duties. Not that these can yet make your life other than a burden to be patiently borne. Nothing can, except the gradual adaptation of your soul to the new conditions. . . . It is among my most cherished memories that I knew your husband, and from the first delighted in him. . . . All blessing -- and even the sorrow that is a form of love has a heart of blessing -- is tenderly wished for you.
