My own dear Heart's Ease,
I am too selfish to be sorry that you took the trouble to write to me, your looks and words of love are so precious to me. I am altogether ashamed of myself -- do not tell any one that I am so silly as I appear to her whom I love best.
Dinner comes to take possession of the table and I cannot thank you half for your goodness but I will look my gratitude to-morrow afternoon, if you are inclined to finish the picture 442 then.
