Dearest Cara
I have requested my Sister 27 to send to Rosehill a parcel containing some clothes which she has had made for me. Will you ask Sara to be so kind as to bring the said parcel with her luggage on Monday?
Mrs. C. Hennell brings me rather an unsatisfactory account of Mr. Bray -- that his chest is not well and that he still does not get sleep enough. I hope business is not helping to keep him awake. My love to him, and I want to see him very much.
We are going to Mr. Ellis's, at Champion Hill tomorrow evening. I am better now -- have rid myself of all distasteful work and am trying to lose the glorious distinction of humanity, looking before and after. 28 We shall be glad to have Sara. She tells me you are better and rather enjoying Miss Lynn, 29 whereat also I am pleased. Dr. Brabant has been here -- getting rather fatuous, I think.
