Miss Swanwick begs me to forward the enclosed note to Mr. Bray.
Thank you, dearie, for your last little note. You don't see the Times, or you would be edified this morning by a capital speech of Gladstone's on the Bookselling Question -- i.e. in the House of Commons on occasion of his motion for abolishing the paper and stamp duties -- a motion negatived, however, by a considerable majority. 87
I am going to Sydenham this morning to stay all night. 88 Tell Sara I will write to her when I come back. I am so grieved to hear of her renewed cold.
