My dear Fanny
I find it is in vain to expect that Father will ever again exert himself or give an opinion about a situation, but if you and Henry decide on Mr. Mellor's late house, 730 I feel sure he will not object to assist in pecuniary matters. I cannot press the subject farther with him. He says he thinks the situation a desirable one as it regards Mr. Houghton's Baginton business, 731 but he thinks it very dear and seems to fear the place would be altogether expensive -- but probably he judges erroneously.
