My dear Sir
I return, 658 with many thanks, three of the books you kindly lent me 'e0 propos of comparative grammar. The little Catechism I remember you recommended to my especial care and I am therefore anxious that it should be in your hands again.
I retain at present Clark's Comp[arative] Gram[mar] and Baudry's little grammar. Schleicher's is an admirable survey and makes me desire to see others of his works.
Thank you also for Miss Cobbe's volume.
