March 16. 73.
My dear Mr. Browning
Thanks for the Curtius 156 which came to me the other day. I have already found some nutritive bits in it, and am very glad of the opportunity which your kindness has given me.
Also your generous pains to let me see the photographs were more highly appreciated than I was able to tell you.
Madame Novikoff 157 presented herself today, so that the task which your friend's letter laid on you has been successfully fulfilled.
Yours always truly
M. E. Lewes.
