Last week I saw a private letter from a very rare young woman, 78 whose words are all alive with sincere meaning. In this letter she has occasion to refer to "the whole works of the poet from whom I have sucked most life -- Robert Browning."
The very spread of a great favour brings its peculiar sickening influences, and strong man as you are, I don't believe that you are without your moments of weariness.
Perhaps the assurance of having fed a valuable young life may come just in time to neutralize the effect of some nonsense which you have lately endured.
