Dear Sara
We always lunch at 'bd past one, and at that time are ready to see visitors. But immediately after lunch, if the heavens permit, we prepare to go out of doors, and usually remain out from 2 till 4. I hope you can come to us on Monday -- in time for dinner, at 'bd past 5 if not earlier, and we will either go to the Monday's concert at St. James's Hall, where there is fine instrumental music, 665 or we would stay at home, whichever you liked. Mr. Lewes is writing to Mr. Spencer to ask him to come and dine with you here on Wednesday. We give him the latest day, because being a great diner-out, he may have engagements. So please to reserve Wednesday for us, until you hear from me what is Mr. Spencer's answer.
You have happily hit on the week before the hustle of moving begins. I do hope you have also hit on a week when there will be less rain and fog than we have been living in lately.
Ever yours
M. E. L.
