Dear Sara
The beautiful mark is a little too long for my Bible, but that can be remedied. It will be treasured there till I die. The little one also will go into a sacred book with the odour of devout centuries in it. Mr. Lewes's mother is coming to lunch with us and my head is so infirm that I am afraid of asking it to do anything. So I will only say, all blessings for 1863!
Ever yours
Pollian.
