Dear Sara
We are returned 267 you see, but before I say anything about ourselves I want to know what is the state of your poor Nelly's health. I feel unable to write at length, until I know whether there still exists the special cause of sadness among you that Cara's note made me aware of just before we started.
Will you send me a few lines to tell me as much as you can first about the common household and then about yourself? Until I know that you are not in heavy trouble, it is impossible to write gossip about our own affairs. Ever, dear Sara
Your true and loving
Pollian.
