Dear Mr. Ralston
Thanks for the feuilletons containing Tourgu'e9neff's story, 230 which I will return when we have read it.
We are both much interested in your resolution to quit the Museum, 231 and are inclined to congratulate you. Pray let us know when the matter of the pension is decided. With health, you are sure to make yourself of value in fresh ways, but that modest certainty of £120 would be an insurance against anxiety in case of delays.
Always yours sincerely
M. E. Lewes.
