Had a party to hear Tennyson read: Barbara, Charles and Gertrude, Johnnie Mary and Florence Cross, Hall, Burton, Myers, Gurney, Rich[ard] and Norman Grosvenor, Mrs. Benzon and Lilly, Mr. and Mrs. F. Lehmann, Mr. and Mrs. Liebreich, Lewis Morris, Tennyson and Hallam Tennyson, Beesly. It was a great success. Tennyson read [Maud] and the two [Northern Farmers.] Broke up at 12.
