Friday 22 June 1877
Since the last entry 714 life has moved on its regular routine, the weather transcendent, the work successful. Polly has been better and has read aloud Keats's Life. 715 The clergyman 716 has called; and I have written many letters. Yesterday we were overtaken by a tremendous storm which the Victoria only partially protected us from.

Work and walk. Blackwood spent the day with us. Drove him to Hinde Head; weather fine and not hot. When he left at 8.25 read papers.
Sunday 24 June 1877
Lotze, Medizinische Psychologie. 717 Worked at vol. IV. Wrote to
Kaufmann about the translation of his "George Eliot und das Judenthum." Drove to Hambledon and Godalming. Charles Reade's [Woman Hater.] Charles wrote announcing birth of his third daughter. 718
