Tuesday 26.
Charley accompanied us henceforth having bid adieu to school forever. We went to Geneva which we reached at 8 o'clock after tea, drove to the D'Alberts'. It was a great delight to me to see how truly they loved and prized Polly and we spent an exciting evening with them.
Wednesday 27.
After breakfast the D'Alberts called in a carriage and took us out for the day. After driving about we went to the Museum 566 to see the pictures, called on Calame who showed us his atelier, and there we got his two fine etchings. After lunch, M. D'Albert, Charley and I went out to see Reading-Room etc. and I broached the subject of Thornie's residence in Geneva to him, and was glad to find that it seemed practicable, and that he would undertake the charge. After dinner we had a delightful drive in the country, returning by the side of the lake.

Went shopping with the D'Alberts. Dined with them, and started at 2 for Paris which we reached next morning at 6.
