Read Youatt '91on the Dog.'92 Began an article on '91Mad dogs.'92 806 Langford came to lunch and brought with him a magnificent book '91Le Moyen Age illustr'e9'92 to see if Polly would like to purchase it. W. G. Clark and Anthony Trollope came to dinner; the latter bringing the sad news of Mrs. Browning's death. 807 We had a very pleasant dinner and then went to tea with Carlyle, whom they had never seen. Woolner, 808 the sculptor, there. Capital talk. Home at 12.
