Dear Main
Mrs. Lewes, I grieve to say, continues suffering -- the stone has not passed yet, nor has it fallen back altogether so as to give her peace -- but she is better on the whole, and we hope in a few days she will be like herself again. Thank you for your letters.
Any criticisms and any corrections of misprints you may send will always be acceptable. But I haven't time to answer them. Probably when you have read Problem VI you will have answered your own difficulty about the cosmos.
