My dear Main
The mystery of the address at the head of your letter needs enlightenment. Is it that you are removed to Glasgow for good (or ill?) or are you only on a visit. If the former are you ferulous? teaching the young idea? or what?
The information about our health is satisfactory. Mrs. Lewes improved decidedly during the last week of our stay in the country, and has not gone back materially since our return. I also improved -- but have gone back -- not however materially.
I urged Chapman to hurry the Johnson and he will do so.
