My dear Bray
Miss Evans will have told you why I could not take Coventry in my way. 213 I hope she explained it fully, for I was in too great a hurry (the Donkeys were at the door, saddled and "pawing the impatient air"!) to write to you a full true and particular account. I assure you it went very much against the grain to give up the visit and only my sense of unfairness to Water made me do so.
I am very much set up though not quite free from oppression and singing in my ears.
Remember me kindly to Mrs. Bray and Miss Hennell and Believe me
