My dear Harrison
I must tell you how admirable I think your paper 649 -- high in tone, close in reasoning, unanswerable I think, and certain to be very effective and perhaps to create a row. I wish it had not been so long. I would then have put it first -- but it has the second place of honor (the last) -- and you see makes 21 pages even in the smaller type.
When shall we have the second paper? 650 -- By the way some one told me (I forget who) that you had written or were about to write a paper on St. Bernard -- might we hope for that?
I propose with your permission to call your article "The Strike and the Lock Out" -- as a more generally attractive title. If you object of course I have nothing to say. 651
Meanwhile many thanks. If the Review can but get papers like yours its success is assured. Beesly has also sent a first-rate paper on Catiline.
