GHL to Frederick Locker, London, [25 March 1872]
MS: Harvard. Hitherto unpublished.
The Priory, | 21. North Bank, | Regents Park.
My dear Mr. Locker
It was very good of you to make that expedition to the Cosmopolitan and very unfortunate that you should have forgotten the paper. 493 However perhaps you may renew the attempt after Easter and with more success. Your names are very welcome.
Yesterday I got Grant Duff, Sir H. Maine, and Lord Castletown to sign. To-day I think of going to Kensington to the artists. 494
I hope Lady Charlotte will derive some benefit from Hampstead -- when winter is over!
Yours ever
G. H. Lewes.
