I must tell you how very much your review 400 has gratified both of us by its sympathetic insight and its penetrating though sparing objections -- I could have wished there had been more objections for me to profit by as I do by those you have made.
I have to thank you also for the reply to Jevons 401 which is calmly crushing -- I had thoughts of sending you a more angry answer to him, but your tone is far better.
